I will always miss Ed. He was a kind, even-tempered, smart Christian. I appreciated his sense of humor--even when he used it to tease me about topics on which we disagreed. I'll never forget bursting out laughing at an Intelligencer Christmas dinner at Rusty's Restaurant, when I heard Ed spontaneously & rhythmically saying, "The sheep and the goats, the sheep and the goats," as he gesutred repeatedly from side to side, as if to guide diners forming two lines for the buffet table.
