Condolence From: Henry J. Hummert
Condolence: Memories of a big guy with a big heart:

My thoughts and prayers are with your family as I remember images and impressions from my early years in Breese. I often picture Gerald with another big guy, my father Henry C., serving as cooks and fryers for social, community and church events. Gerald, and the Huelskamp family, were friendly and welcoming to me, and there was always plenty of energy and activity in this large family.
Gerald would be rightly proud of his legacy as he looks upon his extended family, his contributions as an alderman, and his service to our country during the Korean War. And let's not forget his skills in choosing and creating hand-cut meat products that were welcome additions to many Clinton County dinner tables.

I have to think that some of his customer service skills reflected his early training at the hands of his parents, Joe and Eleanor, who polished their sales skills in the iconic roles of the Fuller Brush Man, and later, the Fuller Brush Woman, in the local marketplace.

I hope memories of his life continue to color the lives of his family and friends.

Condolence From: Janice Griffith
Condolence: My condolences go out to you and your family in this difficult time. I would like to share a beautiful Bible hope from God found in Revelation 21:3, 4 that assures us He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. This Scripture has helped me and many others to be able to cope with the loss of a loved one. I hope it helps you also.
