My name is Belitza,
I had the privileged of knowing and getting to work with Annie for seven years (I used called her Mami Annie).
Annie was a very hardworking women, she was very straight forward with a strong character, but at the same time she liked helping everybody. Annie was very helpful, a humanitarian with a big heart.
She was so proud of her family. Exceptionally proud of her daughter Maura. Annie loved David, very much, she was so thankful for him. She used to tell us that David was a good man, a great father, and an even better husband; that David was very good to her daughter Maura. But the sparkle of Annie’s eyes, that she used to talk about every day, was her grandchildren Sean, Sierra and Andrew. Annie used to tell us every day about Sean’s competitions, trials, and achievements. She would also give us the websites to see Sean swimming, or show us pictures and newspapers cuttings from Sean’s accomplishments. I remembered how her eyes would sparkle from proudness and happiness when she found out how many universities were recruiting Sean. She would also talked a lot about Sierra, of how beautiful and smart she is. She would talk about Sierra’s achievements as well, and how she enjoys running track. Annie, with proudness in her eyes, would show us pictures and say how good her granddaughter was. Not to forget Andrew, the little rascal in the family. Annie would laughed when she used to tell us stories about Andrew’s mischievous ways, how impressed of how intelligent he was at such a young age and how handsome he was. Annie loved her grandchildren and family, and I know that from heaven she is going to protect and take care of them.
I will always remember you with love, my Irish Mama.
I hope you rest in peace.
