Cynthia L. Steinhauer, age 49, of New Baden, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh. She was born June 12, 1968 in Belleville, the daughter of the late Peter and Sheila (Distler) Sanborn. She married Nelson Steinhauer. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by: her fiancé, Phillip Santel of New Baden; two children Dalton (Ashley) Steinhauer of New Baden, and Piper Santel of New Baden; extended children: Samantha (Robbie) Jolliff of Centralia and Russel (Nikki) of Walnut Hill; nine grandchildren: Ryleigh, Cullin, Gage, Robert, Keelee, Jackson, Kyler, Allison and Kendal; and three sisters: Daphyne, Gina and Audra.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the New Baden American Legion. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the education fund for Piper Santel and they will be received at any FCB .
