Obituary for Robert H. Hollenkamp
Robert H. Hollenkamp, age 68, of Boulder, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle.
Mr. Hollenkamp was born June 17, 1948 in Breese, the son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Kapp) Hollenkamp. He is survived by his two sons: Troy (Allie) Hollenkamp of Pocahontas, IL and Travis (Laci) Hollenkamp of Greenville; two grandchildren: Harper Hollenkamp and Grant Hollenkamp; two brothers: Bill (Wendy) Hollenkamp of Carlyle and Jeff (Cindy) Hollenkamp of O'Fallon, IL; and one sister, Nancy (the late Jim) Nettemeier of Breese.
Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Hollenkamp.
Robert was a veteran of the US Army. He also worked as a supervisor for Alton Boxboard in Highland and was a member of the Highland-Pierron Fire Department . As a car enthusiast, he was a member of the SLTA Van club in St. Louis. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and camping. More than anything, however, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston, with a funeral mass following at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to Leaps of Love in Highland.
