Lois Ann Hengehold, age 77, of Glen Carbon, died in the early morning of Sunday, March 19, 2017, at her residence.

She was born on January 15, 1940, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late James B. and Bernice A. Moore.

Lois married Kenneth Hengehold on March 31, 1973, in Edwardsville.
She is survived by two daughters - Missy Schonlau (Mike) of Edwardsville and Monica Zatloukal (Jeff) of Fort Myers, FL; two sons - Keith McDonald (Dee) of Edwardsville and Kevin Hengehold of Troy, IL; grandchildren – Josh and Megan McDonald, Ally, Taylar and Ayden Schonlau and Mariah and Sydney Hengehold; sister, Jean Roth (Mike) of Jerseyville, IL and brothers, Jerry Moore (Janis) of Bethalto, IL and Larry Moore (Kathy) of Prairietown, IL.

Lois was the retired Executive Assistant to the Dean at Washington University School of Medicine where she received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award in 2002. Her memberships included Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville and the Quilters Guild. She was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play. Lois also loved spending time with her family, baking and quilting. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart.
Visitation will be from 9 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edwardsville. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Shank, Senior Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Edwardsville.

Memorials are suggested to Father McGivney Catholic High School in Maryville, IL or Trinity Lutheran School in Edwardsville.
