Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Currier can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear of John's passing. We were in school together in Acton, Massachusetts, including playing in a band. He smashed his father's brand new Mustang, and went on to smash convention from then on in his life. I lost track of John in 1980. I wish I had found him before now...

Condolence From: Stephen and Joan Birkholz
Condolence: So sorry to hear of John's passing. We participated in the Boy Scouts as adult leaders in Wisconsin. He was instrumental to inspire several Boys to obtain their Eagle Scout Badge. He was affectionately known as "Hans" in the SNL skit of "Hans" and "Frans" and always served up a cup of "Girly Man" coffee at the troop camp outs with the Boys. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Currier family. I can vividly remember Michael in his Boy Scout uniform.

Condolence From: Ed Crowe (Sheldon)
Condolence: John and I have been good friends for almost 50 years, since we met as freshmen at what he called "beautiful downtown Boston College" even though it was 8 miles from downtown Boston.

Through John, I learned to appreciate British sports cars, even when the wiper blades didn't work on a snowy Boston night and I became the human windshield wiper as he drove. I also learned to appreciate Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, and through conversations with John at BC and for many years thereafter, I came to appreciate the importance of serious conversation about serious issues--political, historical, automotive, and personal.

We were best man at each other's weddings; we stayed in touch through personal and career changes, growing families, moves from one part of the country to another.

Best of all about John--and what I will miss most of all--was his quick wit and good humor, his flashing smile, and the twinkle in his eyes. Through almost half a century these have stayed with me when I thought about this wonderful man, good husband and father, and fabulous friend. And they will stay with me until the end of time.

My deep condolences to Karen, Mike, and Kelly.
