Julia "Irene" Blaise, age 92, of Belleville, died at 3:23 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

She was born September 11, 1923 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Feher) Seres. She married William S. Blaise May 16, 1953. He preceded her in death August 16, 2010. She is survived by two children: Elizabeth A. (Dr. Richard) Bennett of CHicago and William (Kelly) Blaise, Jr. of Belleville; five grandchildren: Julia Blaise, Molly (Shane) Leech, Jordan (Lisa) Blaise, Dr. Kathleen (David) Musser and Sarah Johnson; and many great-grandchildren. SHe was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Sinsky and Pearl Lochmann; and one brother, Don Seres.

According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated . Private burial of her ashes will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
