Obituary for Janet Brammeier

Janet  Brammeier
Janet Brammeier, age 87, of Glen Carbon, died at 6:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 6, 1927 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Janet M. (MacArthur) Coffin. She married Wayne Brammeier September 10, 1950 in Burlington, IA. He survives. Also surviving are five children: Pam (Phillip) Liles of Mt. Olive, IL, David Brammeier of Glen Carbon, George Brammeier of Bradenton, FL, Todd (Sondra) Brammeier of Edwardsville and Christopher (Ashley) Brammeier of Edwardsville; ten grandchildren: Brad, Brian, Nicholas, Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph, Eric, Jack, Logan and Oliver; two great-grandchildren: Barret and Beau; and a brother, George Coffin of Burlington, IA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eric Brammeier; and a brother, MacArthur Coffin.
Mrs. Brammeier was active with various area humane societies. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edwardsville, where she was a member of the Church Women United.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Edwardsville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the church with Fr. Ralph McMichael officiating. Memorials may be given to the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Library.
