Condolence From: Linette Warnecke
Condolence: I was deeply saddened when I made my regular visit to Liberty Village on Sunday to learn that Doris had passed away the weekend before. I was out of town the previous weekend, so I did not learn of her passing until Sunday. The primary purpose of my visits the past couple of years have been with her roommate, Mildred; however, due to Mildred's continued decline, I would visit with Doris after I set-up Mildred to listen to music on an iPod. I know that your mother has been in a lot of pain since her fall many months ago and then again more recently. It was clear by her quieting voice that breathing was also becoming more difficult for her. Still, I never expected she was near her final days when I had last visited with her. I know how important you kids and grandchildren were to her. It sounded like Doris hadn't had an easy life, but she persevered. She loved all of you kids dearly and expressed her concerns for her daughter who is dealing with cancer. I know she is looking down on you now. She treasured your phone calls and visits, speaking of one daughter in particular who would bring meals and such to her. Please accept my condolences. I, and many others at Liberty Village (especially Carolyn, across the hall) will miss seeing Doris.
