Obituary for Diana Harris (Sloan)
Diana Harris, age 58, of Cahokia, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her residence. She was born September 27, 1956 in St. Louis, the daughter of Cecil and Goldie (Pate) Sloan. She married Edward Harris September 12, 1985. He survives. Also surviving are three children: Deniel (Christopher) Mueller of East Carondelet IL, Tanya Armstrong of Cahokia IL, and Mark (Kelly) Armstrong of Bowling Green, MO; ten grandchildren (Pamela, Abriel, Devin, Matthew, Morgan, Isaac, Kaylee, Cecilia, Felicia, and Caden); two great-grandchildren (Aubrielle and Gabriel); one sister, Kathy Massie of East Carondelet; one sister in law Linda Sloan of Memphis TN; and two brothers, Larry (Nancy) Sloan of Lenzburg IL and Gaylan Sloan of Town & Country MO, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, a brother Mearl Sloan, a sister Arlene Nordmann, and brother in law Steven Massie.
She graduated Dupo High School in 1974 and although she had many accomplishments throughout her life she was enjoying retirement and caring for her great grand daughter. She loved spending itme with family and friends.
She will be cremated and there will not be a traditional funeral service, but rather a life celebration party. The party will be held on May 9th at 2pm at the home of her oldest daughter. Address is 1020 Wisconsin Ave. East Carondelet IL.
