Mercedes J. Javorichik
Mercedes Javorchik, age 84, of Belleville, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Paul's Home in Belleville. She was born March 8, 1930 in Laredo, TX, the daughter of Ruperto and Mercedes Martinez. She is survived by two children: Jenny Carlson (J. Hartley) Hartley and Joseph (P. Fortman) Javorchik; and one grandchild, John Charles Carlson. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Maria Garza, Lupe Miranda, Jose Martinez, Felipe Martinez, Luis Martinez, Ramon Martinez, Ruperto Martinez; and many nieces, nephews, friends and former students.

Ms. Javorchik was a 2nd grade teach in O'Fallon for 30 years, primarily at Estelle Kampmeyer School.

According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and private services will be held.
