Obituary for Jiers Yates (Beahringer)
Jiers Yates, age 71, of Summerfield, died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her residence. She was born June 14, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of the late Clarence and Geneva (Cook) Beahringer. She married Lonnie Yates July 9, 1975. He survives. Also surviving are her children: Steven (Shelly) Stroud of Lebanon, Jessie Allen Stroud of Centralia, IL, Glenda Feazel and Patrick Neil Stroud of Tennessee, James Stroud (Melanie Pinion) of O'Fallon, IL, Laura (Zach) Gandy of Summerfield and Lacey (Brian) Siebert of Dayton, OH; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: John Beahringer, Janet Kellick and Jerryann Cox.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and no services will be held.
