Obituary for Vera Loehring

Vera Loehring, age 84, of New Baden, formerly of O'Fallon and Summerfield, IL, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 13, 1930 in Tamalco, IL, the daughter of the late Francis and Maggie Fay (Duckworth) Robards. She married Elbert Loehring in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by two children: Janet Anderson of New Baden and Steven Loehring of Alabama; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Verna Arnold of Birmingham, AL; and one brother, Henry "Hank" Robards of St. Jacob, IL. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Anderson; and a brother, Raymond Robards..

Mrs. Loehring worked at Pine Tree Laundromat in O'Fallon, Lander Book Bindery in St. Louis, and also for Addus Healthcare. She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Summerfield.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. Jacob United Church of Christ in St. Jacob. A memorial service will immediately follow.
