Obituary for Alice L. Whittier (Larner)
Alice L. Whittier, age 95, of Edwardsville, formerly of Warren, Ohio, died at 12:12 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1919 in Warren, OH, the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Raunio) Larner. She married Charles Whittier, Jr. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children: Nancy (Thomas) Metzler of Edwardsville and William Whittier of Beaver Creek, OH; three grandchildren: Charles Metzler, Susan Stanley and Elizabeth Darnell; six great-grandchildren: Sara Klemo, Evan Stoff, Kendel Metzler, Ty Allen, Saundra Metcalf and Ethan Metcalf; two great-great grandchildren: Lucas Klemo and Ethan Metcalf; and one sister, Lillian Mackey. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Whittier; and a sister, Mildred Sager.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Crown Hill Burial Park in Viena, OH.
