Frances C. "Pat" Kaatman, age 88, of Woodson Terrace, MO, died at 2:04 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born April 4, 1925 in Germantown, IL, the daughter of the late Fred and Christina (Albers) Beckmann. In May of 1954, she married Harold Kaatman. He preceded her in death in January of 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Denise Kaatman of Ballwin, MO; one sister, Susanna (the late Norbert) Kalmer of Breese, IL; one brother, Vernal (Nancy) Beckmann of Ballwin, MO; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters: Leona (the late Sam Holtmann and the late Charlie) Mueller, Martin “Mac” (the late Catherine) Beckmann, Caroline (the late Ed) Hagenhoff, Florence (the late Aloys) Holtmann, Grace (the late Vincent "Pete" ) Meier, Alfred (the late Dorothy) Beckmann and Leon (the late Johanna) Beckmann.

Frances was a member of the former St. Williams Catholic Church in Woodson Terrace and a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Overland, MO. She was employed for 31 years as a clerk at the Woodson Terrace City Hall.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 306 Munster St. in Germantown, IL. A Mass of Resurrection will immediately follow. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice or as masses.
