Obituary for Betty Byrd (Berrier)
Betty L. Byrd, age 80, of Glen Carbon, passed away at 11:51 a.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
She was born March 13, 1937 in Murphysboro, Illinois, the daughter of the late Jewell and Thelma (Walker) Berrier. She married Howard Byrd. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Byrd is survived by two children: James (Christina) Byrd of Glen Carbon and Elizabeth (William) Lang, also of Glen Carbon; four grandchildren: Alex, Lauren, Erin and Anna; two brothers: David (Stella) Berrier of San Marcos, CA and Mark (Paula) Berrier of Dallas, TX; and a sister-in-law, Sherry Berrier of Dallas, TX.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Curtis Berrier; and a sister-in-law, Mary Rose Berrier.
Mrs. Byrd was a registered nurse and a member of the Halls Ferry Christian Church in Florissant, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
