Obituary for Althea J. Karschney (Bunk)

Althea Karschney, age 81, of Lebanon, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born August 21, 1936 in Omro, WI, the daughter of the late Harley and Loretta Bunk. She married Keith C. Karschney. He preceded her in death January 6, 2017.
Surviving are six children: Michael (friend Eva Obernuferman) Darling of O’Fallon, Karen Darling of O’Fallon, Cheryl (Delmar) Siegel of Trenton, Darrell Darling of Terra Haute, IN, Rebecca Darling of Lebanon and Kevin (friend Amy Smith) Karschney of New Baden; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Zeilinski of Oshkosh, WI.
Besides her parents and husband, Althea was preceded in death by one son, Gary Karschney; and two brothers and two sisters: Michael, Harvey, Beverly and Shirley.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Kalmer Memorial Services, 8638 US Hwy 50, between Lebanon and O’Fallon. Burial of her cremated remains will be held next Spring.
