James Edward Mueller, age 62, of Highland, passed away at 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland. He was born April 12, 1954 in Highland, the son of Glen O. and Wilma Jean (Hagler) Mueller, Sr. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, WIlma; his siblings: Glen O. (Cheryl) Mueller, Jr. of Greenville, Dennis Gene Mueller of Pocahontas, Alan Dale (significant other, Donna Odle) of Waverly, IL and Michael Eugene (Connie) Mueller of Pocahontas; and his friend, Ron Wilheim. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anton and Edna Mueller; and Howard and Helen Hagler.
Jim was a 1973 graduate of Greenville High School and a 1974 graduate of Southwestern Illinois College where he earned a nursing degree. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Pocahontas. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Bond County.

Per his wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held.
