Roger A.  Frederickson
Roger Allen Frederickson, 88, passed away at 3:30AM at Jerseyville Manor on May 4, 2017 in Jerseyville, IL. He was born December 7, 1928 in Elgin, IL, where he lived for most of his life. He proudly served our country in the Army during the Korean War. He married Beverly Mae Sponholtz on November 4, 1950. She preceded him in death June 7, 2014. They had four children.
He retired from Illinois Toolworks, where he worked as a machinist. He was a loving man who could put a smile on the face of anyone he met. He was an avid woodworker and glass collector with a great love of airplanes, the outdoors and traveling.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as a daughter, Nancy (Larry). Surviving are two daughters, Penny and Robin and one son, Scott (Deborah). Also surviving are two granddaughters, Sarah (Joshua) and Amanda (Ronny), and four grandsons: Alexander, Michael, Robert and Jonathan. He also leaves behind one great grandson, Ronny Jr.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin, IL on June 17, 2017.
