Obituary for Jack larue Davis

Jack L. Davis, age 78, of Shiloh, formerly of Kalamazoo, MI, died at 3:38 a.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1939 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of the late Lloyd and Geneva Mae (Hook) Davis. He married Judith Hale November 20, 1959. She survives.
Also surviving are two children: Jeffrey (Dianna) Davis of Belleville and Jill Kahle of Costa Rica; and two grandchildren: Sean (Kelsey) Davis of Columbia, IL and Stephen Davis of Belleville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Davis.
Mr. Davis was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service, and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Otsego, MI Elks Lodge.
The family would like to express their thanks to Care Link, Hospice of Southern Illinois and to John Cochran VA Hospital for their care and compassion.
