Brenda D Shelton (nee Moore) passed away March 18th with her devoted son by her side. Brenda was the loving wife of Herbert D Shelton who died June 8, 1984. Ms. Shelton was also preceded in death by her mother, Veda E. Moore (nee Shelton); and two brothers: Ronald Alan Moore and George Timothy Moore. She is survived by her son, Heath Shelton (Samantha Glasco) and Granddaughter Emaline Shelton of Fairview Heights, IL; and her daughter Samantha Shelton of Jerseyville, IL.; her father, George T Moore of Marissa; and two brothers: Rick (and Claudine) Moore of Lake St. Louis, MO and Dennis (and Kelly) Moore of Marissa; one aunt, Barbara (and Dale) Gibbs of Springfield, IL; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Brenda was a graduate of Marissa Sr. High School in Marissa, IL and a graduate of Hickey College in St. Louis, MO. She was also a veteran of The United States Air Force and then worked for the United States Postal Service for the last 23 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed traveling.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Kalmer Memorial Services, located between Lebanon and O'Fallon on US Hwy 50.
