Obituary for Jerry Howard Davis

Jerry H. Davis was born March 13, 1932 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of John H. and Adele (Koch) Davis. He died on January 8, 2017 at his home in Tilden, Illinois. He is survived by Roger (Kathy) Davis, of Ft. Myers, Florida, Rev. Larry (Becky) Davis of Mondovi, Wisconsin, Rev. Glenn (Ann) Davis of Wright City, Missouri, and Joyce (Ken) Parke of Troy, Illinois and nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie (Lind) Davis, companion, Winnie Schuetz and his parents.

He attended the Winkle Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Tilden. He had membership in the Theosophical Society, Sparta Senior Citizen Chorus and Sparta V.F.W.. He was Stationed in Okinawa, Japan while serving in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954.

He was employed by several corporations as a quality control chemist. He loved attending church, singing, playing pool, playing slot machines and reading.

Memorial services will be held on March 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Winkle Baptist Church, 2737 State Route 13, Coulterville, Illinois. Interment will follow at the Tilden City Cemetery. Memorials will go to Winkle Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Tilden.
