Obituary for Eugene E. "Gene" Reider

Gene Reider, 55, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away August 5, 2016. He will be missed by many, including his fiancée Megan Kealy, mother Dorothy Reider of Ono, PA, two sisters, Sharon Hartman-Tinder of Ono, PA and Dolores Lerchen of CT, three children Scarlett (Kenneth) Hayes and Austin Reider of Ormond Beach, and Cody (Kelsie) Reider of Edwardsville, IL, three grandchildren Hayden, Max and Avery Hayes, and an unborn grandchild who will know of his love through those who were lucky enough to embrace him. Gene lived his life much like the way he raised his children, by emerging himself into the lives of others as a guiding hand. His life was ever changing as he committed himself to anything and everything his children committed themselves to. From football with his sons, to education with his daughter, a farmer with his fiancée, and finally to a grandfather as his children became parents. Those who knew him best know that he will still be there, forever waiting for our calls for a helping hand. A celebration of his life will be held this fall, at his farm.
