Marvin  Wellen
Marvin Wellen, age 81, of Trenton, died Friday, June 3, 2016. He was born August 2, 1934 in Trenton, the son of the late Bernard and Bernadine (Rolves) Wellen. He married Mary Ann Atwood June 1, 1957. She survives. Also surviving are two sons: Craig (Estrellita) Wellen of Fairview Heights, IL and Todd Wellen of Osteen, FL; three grandchildren: Jason (fiance Sara) Wellen, Jennifer (Matt) Schulte and Landon Wellen; two great grandchildren: Madison and Austin Schulte; and his brothers and sisters: Delores (Gerald) Ernst of Bellevue, IA, Bernette (the late John) Dilley of Trenton, Orville (Doris) Wellen of Washington, MO, Clara (James) Seiffert of Carlyle, IL, Robert (Mary) Wellen of Trenton, and Ralph Wellen of Trenton; and two sisters-in-law: Patricia (Harry) Cavanaugh of Gillespie, IL and Cheryl (Rick) Christ of Trenton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Wellen.

Mr. Wellen worked in accounting for Union Pacific Rail Road. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Trenton. He was an avid cyclist, and particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held for the immediate family. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
