Condolence: Dear family of Larry Swaim. Larry and I were buddies from childhood. I last talked with him on March 24.
I had posted this about my wonderful friend.

Larry and I have been friends since we were about 11 years old. That has been a LONG..... time.
We swore each other to secrecy concerning all the stories we have on each other. Hunting, fishing, dating girls, racing cars, playing our horns in Springfield High School band (Oregon) for Gene Slater, attending the Central Bible College together, singing in Revivaltime Choir,
The trips we took to Diamond Lake fishing. We'd jump in my '56 Ford panel truck, drive up to Diamond Lake (it is near Crater Lake) toss our sleeping bags on the ground, never worrying about the black bears that were prevalent there. We'd be the first boat out on the lake in the AM.
Fishing the Mohawk River, swimming, body surfing in the Pacific Ocean near Honeyman State Park south of Florence, Oregon.
We were in each other's weddings.
Man.... the list and reminiscing could go on forever.
One of the great memories was of our boy's quartet that Larry's mom, Winnie Swaim, put together. Bob Stewart sang tenor, Larry sang lead, Cal Chowning was baritone and I sang bass.
We sang at church alot. In 1965, heard about this thing called Teen Talent, entered at the last minute. Won state, regionals (That was before they let anyone who entered advance!) ended up at General Council in Des Moines, IA and took second place to a girls quartet from Wilmar, MN.
Larry, you'll be missed.

Condolence: Larry was a great guy. He made life better for everyone who knew him. It's been a long time since CBC but it will be a short time until we meet again in heaven. Be blessed as we remember his life and his victory with Jesus. Enjoy heaven my friend.
