Obituary for Gary W. Bateman

Gary W. Bateman, age 57, of Hecker, died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis. He was born March 11, 1958 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Henry F. and Mary E. (Shelton) Bateman.

He is survived by three children: Emily Bateman Clark of Greenville, IL, Dustin Bateman and Dwayne Bateman, both of Springfield, IL; five grandchildren; three brothers: James (Donna) Bateman of O'Fallon, Frank Bateman of New Athens, and John (Debbie) Bateman of Smithton; and two sisters: Linda Hamilton of Swansea and Marilyn (Jack) Callaghan of Maryville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Bateman.
