Antonia, T. Bernardy, age 89, of Springfield, IL, died at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 5, 1926 in Werlte, Germany, the daughter of the late Hermann and Josefa (Tepe) Hoennen. She married Theodor Bernardy August 18, 1951. He preceded her in death August 1, 1990. She is survived by four children: Johanna Chookaszian, Maria Louise "Isa" Bernardy, Paul R. Bernardy and Carol Ann First. She is also survived by numerous children and grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Dorothea and Rita.
In accordance with her wishes, her remains will be cremated and no service will be held.
