Patricia Jane Cato, age 69, of Belleville, died at 12:35 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born November 11, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Audrus Wayne and Margaret (McEvilly) Piggott. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry L. Cato and great grandson, Blaine Anthony Rader. She is survived by three sons: Jerry (Linda) Cato of Edwardsville, Paul (Kerri) Cato of Belleville and Jason (Jennifer) Cato of Cahokia, 10 grandchildren and dear friends Thomas and Patricia Hunter of Belleville their children and grandchildren whom she claimed as her surrogate children and grandchildren.

Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Glen Carbon, IL. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30a.m. Wednesday at the church with Fr. Albert Allen officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Backstoppers.
