Obituary for Cheryl Arlene Nicoletti-Gray (Wilder)

Cheryl Arlene Nicoletti-Gray (Wilder)
Cheryl Arlene Nicoletti-Gray (nee Wilder), 52, of Louisville, KY, formerly of St Louis, MO, born July 31, 1963 in Santa Barbara, CA, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Norton-Audubon Medical Hospital in Louisville, KY.
During her years in St Louis, Cheryl worked for Great West Life Insurance and Delta Dental as an underwriting assistant. She was an avid reader and enjoyed rock, country and blues music. She doted on her four-legged friends, Ava, Lilly Bell and Callie. Even after she left the area, Cheryl remained a loyal St Louis Cardinals and St Louis Blues fan. When she moved to Louisville, she quickly immersed herself in the excitement surrounding the Kentucky Derby and always looked forward to selecting a new hat for the occasion. Cheryl’s outgoing personality and friendly nature ensured she never met a stranger. Her bright smile and twinkly eyes lit up a room instantly and when she entered, it was clear the fun was just beginning. Cheryl’s overwhelming generosity will continue through her gift of life to others as an organ donor.
Cheryl had recently joined Southeast Christian Church in Louisville and was passionate about volunteering for worthwhile causes, particularly The Re-Tail Thrift Shop, an organization dedicated to benefiting the Animal Care Society and promoting no kill pet shelters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Lorraine Wilder, her daughter, Nicole Nicoletti, and a nephew, Nathan Griffin.
Surviving are her husband, David Gray and his children, Sarah Gray (Angie Alexander) and Rachel Gray, her father, Howard Wilder, stepmother Addie Wilder, sisters Carolyn (Greg) Richardson, Cindy (Bill) Owens, Lori Connors, brother Howard (Sally) Wilder, half-brother Jason Wilder, brother-in-law Jeff (Chris) Gray, sister-in-law Gina (Darin) Lee, nieces and nephews Joe Wilder (Casey), Dan Wilder, Travis Wilder, Gwendolyn Wilder, Ryan Richardson, Matthew Richardson, Miranda Richardson, Amber Griffin, Andrea Brooks (Chris), Ashley Griffin, Dan Malo, Allyson (Dave) Carter, Nikki Witty, Lindsey (Branden) Beers, Jackson Lee, Danielle Lee, as well as three great-nephews and four great-nieces. She will also be deeply missed by her grandsons, Giovanni and Nickolas, whom she loved “to the moon and back”.
Condolences can be expressed to the family online at www.kalmermemorialservices.com.
