Obituary for Catherine C. Schneider
Catherine Schneider, age 71, of Collinsville, died Friday, July 31, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born November 27, 1943, the daughter of Bernard C. and Pearl (Haas) Friederich. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Billhartz; two brothers: Werner Friederich and Richard Friederich; and three brothers-in-law: LeRoy Schulte, Earl Billhartz and Allen Reinneck. Cathy is survived by three sons: Mark Schneider of Belleville, Kent Schneider of Belleville and Brad (Amanda) Schneider of Niceville, FL; 11 grandchildren; four sisters: Lenora Schulte, Norma Reinneck, Charlotte (Earl) Haas and Sharon Fortune, all of Mascoutah; two brothers: Charles Friederich of Eagle, ID and David (Rita) Friederich of Joppa, IL; two sisters-in-law: Anna Lee Friederich of Marissa, IL and Jan (Mike) Hajek of Collinsville; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Roger Schneider of Belleville; and her special friend, Peter Klaus of Swansea.
Mrs. Schneider was a registered nurse, working and various area hospitals, and most recenetly in home healthcare.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and a private family service will be held.
