Obituary for Peter T. Mike
Peter T. Mike, born September 12, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late William and Carol (Scherby) Mike, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.
He is survived by 4 children: Christopher (Melissa) Mike of Jerseyville, IL, Jonathan Mike of Fairview Heights, Rebecca (Jonathan) Baumgartner of Hartford, IL, and Elizabeth Lutman of Dupo, IL; 11 grandchildren; and 5 brothers and sisters: William, Joseph, Cindy, Lisa and Debra. He is also survived by his beloved companion, Carolyn Lutman of Dupo.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria.
Mr. Mike was a roofer and factory worker. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Caseyville VFW.
A private family viewing will be held prior to cremation, which was his wishes. Burial of his ashes will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
