Obituary for Ada Mae Heflin

Ada Heflin beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister passed away May 2, 2015 at Helia Healthcare, Greenville, IL. Ada was born in Marion, IL June 19, 1924 the daughter of Oscar and Mary Ann (Watkins) Cox. She married Eddie R. Heflin. She is survived by four children: Karen (Ken) Ooton of Worden, IL, Harold Heflin of Dupo, IL, Stephen Craig Heflin of Edwardsville, IL, and Cleeta (Bobby) Elliott of Ramsey IL; Eight grand children and three great grand children. She is also survived by brother, Harold Cox of Elsa, Texas; and two daughters-in-law: Donna Heflin and Cindy Heflin.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband (Eddie R. Heflin); two sons: (Dale Heflin and Kurt Heflin); two brothers (Oscar Cox Jr. and Arthur Cox) and her beloved sister (Clara Natella "Tellie" Bennett).

After a full life as a mother and wife, Ada returned to school, graduated with honors with a degree in Nursing and proudly shared the joy of bringing new lives into the world as an OB-RN. She was a member of Greenville Free Methodist Church, Greenville IL.

At her request, a memorial is not planned. Donations can be made in her honor to the Bond County Hospice and the Wisetown Baptist Church.
