Obituary for Jimmie R. Stephens

Jimmie R. Stephens, age 73, of Troy, died at 5:24 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born November 6, 1941 in Millstone, KY, the son of John and Polly (Spangler) Stephens. He married Shirley Harper. She preceded him in death in 1990. He is survived by two children: Norma "Ginger" (Jeff) Martin of Staunton and Robert Stephens of Troy; one grandchild, Crystal Bartlett of Glen Carbon; and one brother, Gary (Sandy) Stephens of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Gaynel Heisler and Anita Albus; and one brother, John P. Stephens.
Mr. Stephens was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and driving his Corvette.
According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
