William "Bill" Dryden, age 73, of Carlyle, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. He was born May 14, 1941 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of the late William and Grace (Fiege) Dryden. He married Anna Coldwell December 9, 1996. She survives. Also surviving are four children: Susan (Dan) Drabing of Troy, IL, Ed (Sara) Dryden of Collinsville, Marcy (Jason Oliver) Canini of Troy and William (Amy) Dryden of O'Fallon, IL; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Dryden of Collinsville; and two brothers: Lawrence Seamen of California and Dan Dryden of Lincoln, NE. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Carol McLane, Gloria Dryden, Joyce Mirillie and Roxanne Dryden; and one brother, Charles Dryden.

Mr. Dryden was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held.
