Richard Dean Kirkpatrick, age 75, of Christopher, IL, died at 2:29 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born September 23, 1939 in Christopher, IL, the son of the late Harley M. and Marie (Watson) Kirkpatrick. He married Sharon Sue Blankenship October 27, 1962. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Elisa Kirkpatrick of Creal Springs, IL; two sisters: Virginia Waller and Phyllis Grubbs, both of Christopher; and a sister-in-law, Wand Kirkpatrick of Benton, IL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Kirkpatrick; and two sisters: Hester Salo and Ruby Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Kirkpatrick worked for the Ziglar Coal Co. as a warehouse manager.

According to his wishes, his remains will be cremated and no services will be held.
