Obituary for Thomas N. Townsend
Thomas N. Townsend, age 58, of Belleville, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1956 in Oaklawn, IL, the son of Etta (Lauer) Townsend of Henderson, NV and the late Thomas G. Townsend. He married Josie Garza June 19, 1992. She survives. Also surviving are two children: Jessica Townsend of Tennessee and Thomas John Townsend of Joliet, IL; two grandchildren: Storm and Kyle; two stepchildren: Yvette Miller of Belleville and Michelle Valazques of Montgomery, IL; and three sisters: Cathy Parker of Braselton, GA and Marion Abney of Henderson, NV.
Mr. Townsend worked for Magna in Quality Assurance. He was a member of Faith Familhy Church in Shiloh.
A memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Faith Family Church, 704 N. Green Mount Road in Shiloh. His remains will be cremated.
