Obituary for Clara F. Szarnopys (Ivy)
Clara F. Czarnopys, age 79, of Granite City, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 24, 1935 in Silarton, TN, the daughter of the late Everett and Louise (Nicholson) Ivy. She is survived by six children: Randall (Cindy) May of DeSoto, MO, Pamela McInnis of Granite City, Gregory May of Granite City, Ramona (Sol) Allen of Berkely, MO, Russell May of Granite City, and Kimberly May of West Virginia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; four siblings: Wade Ivy, Finus Ivy, Denise Woods and Debra Suarez; and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Czarnopys was a registered nurse with the city of St. Louis. She enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, playing the organ, surfing the web, and was an avid cook who enjoyed preparing meals.
According to her wishes, her remains will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
