Obituary for Wanda Lee Rose (Hoefler)

Wanda Lee Rose, age 78, of Swansea Illinois, born on March 16, 1936, in Normandy, Missouri, passed away after a brief fight with breast cancer on October 29, 2014, at home in Swansea, Illinois. She was preceeded in death by her father Robert Edward Hoefler and mother Margueritte "Marge" Amelia (Nix) formerly of Normandy, Missouri.
Wanda worked as an attendant at Lakeland Square Laundry for 15 years. She enjoyed the Saint Louis Cardinals, gambling, lotto tickets and gardening. She is survived by her son, Robert E. Rose Jr. (Janet) of Saint Louis, Missouri; her daughter Laurie A. Rose of Saint Louis, Missouri; her daughter Lisa M. and her husband Andrew J Reeves of Swansea, Illinois; her son Edward F. and his wife Anna Rose of Saint Louis, Missouri; her sister, Roberta (Scott) Pierce of Washington, Missouri; her sister Pat (Ron) Hinson of Conyers, Georgia; her twelve grandchildren: Roberta, Scott (Cassie), Jeff, Ryan, Connor, LeeAnna, Michelle, Shelbie, Brittany, Christopher, Keegan and Parker Rena'; her six great-grandchildren: Faith, Joe, Alyssia, Skye, Cordy, and Caleb; along with her faithful canine companion Charlie.

A memorial in honor of Wanda's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. A special thank you to Doris Mueller, a long time friend always near and dear to Wanda's heart. Another special thank you to Hospice of Southern Illinois for all of their dedicated and professional services they provided in her time of need.
