James Lowe, age 86, of Caseyville, formerly of Fairview Heights, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab. He was born December 25, 1927 in Sacramento, CA. He married Shirley M. (Miller) Wheat. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by five step-children: Sherry (David) Knott of The Villages, FL, Sandra (Steve) Wilshire of Troy, IL, Pam Hanlon of Highland, IL, Janet (Don) Vigil of Pueblo, CO and Doug (Maggie) Wheat of Troy, IL; 16 grandchildren: Kenny, Keith, Dawn, Jason, Julie, John, Janna, Lindsay, Lainey, T.J., Johnny, Jaime, Jimmy, Doug, II, Chris, and Kaite; 24 great-grandchildren; and a step-daughter-in-law, Jill Wheat of Trenton, IL. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a step-son, John Wheat.

There will be no services.
