Obituary for James C. "Red" Record

James C. "Red" Record, age 74, of Caseyville, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born June 26, 1940, son of the late Frank Clark and Wanda June (Thalls) Record.

He is survived by seven children: Thomas Ripley of Collinsville, Kathy (George) Sweitzer of Fairview Heights, Sandra (Ray) Thomas of Bland, MO, Tammy Ripley of Bland, MO, Deborah Irvin of Caseyville, James Record, II of Caseyville, and Dorothy Wallace, also of Caseyville; 21 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Hazel and Cookie. He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters: Larry Paul, Jeannie, David and RObbie Record.

Mr. Record was a painter. He also worked at Fairmount Race Track in Collinsville as a groomer.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 309 Brookside Dr. in Caseyville from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
