Obituary for Mary Lapka
Mary Lapka, age 89, of Lebanon, formerly of Fredericksburg, TX, died at 7:58 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Care Center in Lebanon. She was born June 30, 1925 in Wallace, IN, the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Ireland) Asay. She married Frank Lapka. He preceded her in death December 4, 2007. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Brewer of Lebanon; a son, Jay Lapka of Industry, IL; two grandchildren: Todd Brewer of King Salmon, Alaska and Brad (Katie) Brewer of Cutler, IL; two great-grandchildren: Kendyl and Reagyn; one sister, Margaret Lechner of Downers Gorve, IL; and one brother, Don Asay of Buena Vista, CO. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dean Brewer.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
