Obituary for Norman A. Reuscher

Norman A.  Reuscher
Norman A. Reuscher, age 88, of Edwardsville, died at 2:11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House in Edwardsville. He was born February 21, 1926 in Chester, IL, the son of the late Herbert and Lillian (Nordmeyer) Reuscher. He married Mary Ann Francis November 17, 1944 in Madison, WI. She survives. Also surviving are three children: Sharon Tebbano and Nancy Tynes, both of Ohio, and Kathy Rhoten of Edwardsville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren: one sister, Lela Gremmels of North Carolina; and one brother, Elmer Reuscher of Florida. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Reuscher.

Mr. Reuscher was retired from Edwardsville School District 7. He was a teacher of Industrial Arts and Coordinator of Work/Study Programs at Edwardsville High School for more than 30 years. He received his Masters Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and was a WW II veteran of the US Army Air Corps. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville, with a luncheon immediately following. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to First Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville.
