Obituary for Doris L. Stewart (Crumer)
Doris L. Stewart, age 86, of Maryville, formerly of Collinsville, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Liberty Village in Maryville. She was born January 18, 1928 in Lebanon, IL, the daughter of the late Edward and Mamie (Brooks) Crumer. She is survived by a daughter, Martha Cochran of Troy, IL; two grandchildren: Kelli and Kevin (Cheryl) Cochran; six great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Victoria, Christian, Krista, Collin and Decoda; a sister-in-law, Mollie Crumer of Collinsville; a dear friend, Orad "Mickie" Rothwell of Collinsville; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Cochran; and eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Stewart was a self-employed housekeeper. She was a 60 year member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Collinsville, where she had the ditinction of the oldest living member.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Kalmer Memorial Services, on Rt. 50 between Lebanon and O'Fallon. Funeral services will emmediately follow. Burial will be at College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
