Obituary for Lynne M. Freiberg (Malter)

Lynne M. Freiberg (nee Malter), age 63, of Collinsville, died at 8:28 p.m. Saturday, Februaruy 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born September 29, 1950, the daughter of Ruth (Weiser) Malter of Collinsville and the late Eugene E. Malter. Besides her mother, she is survived by three sons: John Frauenfelder of O'Fallon, IL, Brian Frauenfelder of Collinsville and Chad Frauenfelder, also of Collinsville; four grandchildren: Brandi, Regan and Ashlee Frauenfelder, and Zach Freiberg; her former husband, Jack Freiberg of Collinsville; three brothers: Paul Malter of Collinsville, Ray Malter of Collinsville and Don Malter of Troy; and one sister, Christine Scott of Collinsville. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Karen Persson and Susan Malter; and a step-son, Nelson Freiberg.

Lynne was a self-employed beautician. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Collinsville. Memorial contributions may be given to Partners of Pets or to the American Cancer Society.
